What is the ratio of care associates to residents?

The Legacy at Santa Fe is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The care needs of our residents determine the staffing ratio.

Is there an age requirement for living at The Legacy at Santa Fe?

Yes, 62.

What does the typical move-in process look like?

The Legacy at Santa Fe approaches the move-in process with great sensitivity and love.

Once your family decides upon a LifeWell community, the community fee secures your chosen suite, of which you take possession ideally within 14 days. Taking financial possession early makes the physical move far easier for all concerned, particularly the senior.

Our process begins with securing the vital information, agreements, and permissions inherent to the move, including a medical assessment and a physician’s care plan. Some of this paperwork is tied to state regulations. We can also recommend moving companies in the Santa Fe area to help.

We’re here to help make the move smooth. While each situation is different, we can move quickly or take the time you need.

Do you provide transportation?

Yes. Scheduled transportation is provided to our Santa Fe residents for doctor’s appointments and activity outings.

Transportation to and from doctor’s appointments is scheduled through the concierge under the healthcare team and doctor’s office. Our bus driver checks this daily for appropriate departure/arrival time.

Residents will sign up in advance for designated locations and events. Seating arrangements for those in wheelchairs and electric scooters are available. Private transportation is available upon request at a nominal charge.

Are your suites furnished?

No, our suites are private and unfurnished.

Residents at The Legacy at Santa Fe are encouraged to decorate and furnish their suites to their liking to provide the most comfortable home environment. In the event one needs assistance with furnishing, we can help. View our floor plans.

How is a resident’s level of care determined?

Our healthcare team completes a health assessment in collaboration with your family and physician. This will determine your level of care based on your individual needs and preferences.

Do you allow pets?

Absolutely!

We even have a program to help care for your pet, including daily walks. There is a one-time, non-refundable fee to move your pet into The Legacy at Santa Fe.
